MAY 8TH, 1993

 

8 young women who dared to be different sought to belong to an organization unique from the ones presented to them on The University of Connecticut's campus. By way of the Boston Alumnae Chapter Zeta Nu Sigma, the Nu Mu Chapter was chartered on the Storrs Campus as the first undergraduate chapter of Sigma Gamma Rho in Connecticut.  

 

The 8 trendsetting chartering sisters of the Nu Mu chapter are: Soror Maureen Gore, Soror Erica Garcia Young, Soror Audrey Medina, Soror Llonia Jackson, Soror Paula Smith Rice, Soror Rendesia Mills-Scott, Soror Natasha Chambers Holmes, and Soror Andrea Barge. 

 

Nu Mu is currently advised under the guidance of the Theta Alpha Sigma Hartford Alumnae Chapter, the first alumnae chapter of Sigma Gamma Rho chartered in Connecticut.
